LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a suspect in the city's latest murder, just hours after the victim's body was discovered.

46-year-old Maurice West is charged with murder, possession of a handgun and heroin possession. He's accused of killing 47-year-old Damon Warren Cox Sr., whose body was found inside a car at the intersection of Beech Street and Virginia Avenue around 11:15 p.m. Saturday. 

Police have not released what the motive for the crime may have been.

It was the second fatal shooting in the Parkland Neighborhood within hours. Just after 6 p.m. Saturday, officers found a man was found shot to death in the front yard of a home on Olive Street near Dumesnil.
