Louisville woman accused of trying to murder boyfriend
Police say the suspect gave the weapon to a relative after the incident, in an effort to hide evidence.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police have arrested a woman charged with the attempted murder of her boyfriend.
Sundai Guy, 36, was arrested Monday in the 2300 block of West Ormsby Avenue, near South 23rd Street. According to an arrest report, Guy allegedly fired shots at the victim on Monday afternoon on West Oak Street.
Police say the victim stated that as he was pulling in front of his home, he heard gun shots. Authorities say as the victim began to text Guy to find out if she was in the area firing a gun at him, the victim saw Guy approaching his vehicle.
Officials say Guy fired several shots toward the victim, hitting the victim's car. The victim was inside the car at the time of the shooting, according to police.
Investigators say Guy "then struck the victim in the face with a handgun."
Police say Guy drove away in her vehicle. She gave the weapon to her aunt "in order to conceal evidence," according to police.
Authorities say Guy told a detective she wanted to kill the victim.
Guy faces several charges including attempted murder, assault, criminal mischief, wanton endangerment and tampering with physical evidence.
She is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $500,000 cash bond. She is expected in court on Wednesday.
