Over 100 pets adopted after water pipe bursts at Kentucky Humane Society's main shelter
The Kentucky Humane Society says 119 dogs and cats were adopted between Dec. 22 and 24.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Kentucky Humane Society says 119 dogs and cats were adopted between Dec. 22 and 24, after a water pipe busted, causing damage at the main shelter.
Officials say 34 of the 119 adopted were large dogs.
Andrea Blair with KHS says the staff is tired, but excited that the animals have homes in time for the holidays.
Adoption centers will be closed on Dec. 25, but will reopen on Dec. 26.
