LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Shoppers aren't wasting time returning some Christmas gifts.
Crowds hit the stores at Shelbyville Road Plaza on Monday morning.
Scott Newsome, the general manager at Quest Outdoors, says it's not his busiest day of the year, but it is pretty hectic. "People tend to be kind of in a hurry. They wanna make their exchanges, maybe buy something new and then get underway for the rest of their day."
Despite the busy shopping season, November and December now account for less than 21 percent of annual retail sales at physical stores nationally.
That's down from a peak of over 25 percent and experts believe the figure will keep dropping.
