Authorities identify Richlawn man killed in Christmas Day fire

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have identified a man who died after a house fire on Christmas morning.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office, that man has been identified as 57-year-old John Dosker, of the 4100 block of Blenheim Road, near the intersection of N. Hubbards Lane and Westport Road. The location is in Richlawn, a small neighborhood in the St. Matthews area.

A call about the fire was received just before 11 a.m. on Sunday.

Dosker's body was found inside the home. His official cause of death is smoke inhalation, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

Most of the damage from the fire was contained to the kitchen, according to authorities.
