LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- No. 12 Virginia made four of its first five shots Wednesday, building a lead they would never lose en route to a 61-53 win over No. 6 Louisville at the KFC Yum! Center.

The Cardinals struggled all night with the Cavaliers' No. 1 ranked defense. U of L didn't have a single assist in the first half. But the Cardinals made a 13-1 in the second half, cutting the UVa lead to single digits, but it never got closer than eight.

No Louisville player scored in double digits. Senior Tony Hicks, junior Quentin Snider and sophomore Deng Adel each had eight points.
