Crews battle fire in California neighborhood

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Crews responded to a fire in the 1600 block of Gallagher Street shortly after 3 p.m. Sunday.

According to MetroSafe, the fire started in a garage and spread to another garage nearby. Everyone got out safely, but two dogs were still inside.

"Upon arrival the doors were all shut so once we gained access to the companies we were able to look for them and we were able to find one of them still alive and that was given to the owner and the second one we haven't located yet," Lt. Col. Jim Frederick said.

No one was injured in the fire.
