LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Shively are investigating after two people were shot early Tuesday.

Sgt. Josh Myers tells WDRB the shooting happened on Strotman Road just before 5 a.m. He says a man and woman were in a car, when they were shot. They apparently drove to the Thornton's on Cane Run Road for help.

Evidence technicians and officers with cameras were focusing on the black Dodge Charger the victims drove to the gas station. It was towed from the scene around 7:30 a.m. The car had multiple bullet holes, and Myers says the bullet holes appear to be from different size weapons, so they believe there was more than one shooter.

"There were a lot of bullet holes, a lot of shell casings that were collected, and it looks like we're looking at multiple calibers of firearms, which would lead us to believe there were multiple shooters as opposed to just one person," Myers said.

Both victims were taken to University Hospital with what police believe are non-life threatening injuries.
