LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- President-elect Donald Trump has reportedly picked a former Indiana Senator as his top intelligence adviser.

Sources says Dan Coats is expected to be named Director of National Intelligence. Coats served two stints as a U.S. Senator, the first of which was from 1989 to 1999.

His most recent term just ended earlier this week.

The Senate would have to approve the nomination.
