LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say slick road conditions contributed to a crash that killed a woman from Scottsburg, Indiana.

The crash in Jackson County happened Thursday morning on Interstate 65. We're told 70-year-old Carolyn Brown was a passenger in a Chevrolet Avalanche that went off the road and slammed into a light pole head-on.

Police say poor road conditions and speed were both factors in the crash.
