LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A bill allowing public school students to take part in religious activities passed the Kentucky state Senate Friday morning.

Senators voted 31-3 to send the measure to the Kentucky state House. Supporters say the bill would guide school officials in allowing students to express their religion.

Teachers would also be allowed to use the Bible to teach about the history of religion and its role in the U.S.
