Louisville Zoo welcomes two new residents

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Zoo introduces us to some new, furry faces.

Meet Heran, the 11-year-old male Sumatran tiger.

Officials say when he got to the Zoo, Heran was diagnosed with glaucoma in his right eye.

Zoo veterinarians removed the eye to help alleviate his pain.

Staff say he's bounced back well from the surgery and is loving his new home.

Meanwhile, a couple exhibits over, the Zoo is welcoming a baby female bongo.

The calf was born on April 17 and doesn't have a name yet.
