LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A French company's local office has stepped up, donating thousands of dollars to help give local teens a new hangout.

The Newburg Boys & Girls Club just unveiled a new teen room. It's bigger, with new technology, furniture and flooring.

Automotive supplier Faurecia donated $29,000 for the project. About half of its employees live just a few miles from the club. They wanted to help give their neighborhood a safe, new space for teens.

"It's more than just a place to play basketball or get on a game system," said Michael Taylor, who uses the club. "It's more like a family that actually cares about us and where we're going in life and has programs to help us succeed in life."

Faurecia workers designed the new space and helped with the renovations.
