Family throws memorial party for shooting victim on her 21st birthday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- More than three months after 20-year-old Savannah Walker was gunned down at a Louisville art gallery concert, police have not arrested her killer.
“No one is coming forward saying I saw this person do it,” said Dean Walker, Savannah's father.
Savannah Walker would have turned 21 on Wednesday, so family and friends held a birthday party memorial to celebrate her life.
“We’re just trying to come together as friends and family just to be happy, because she would want us to be happy,” said Dajea Downing, a friend of Savannah's who was at the Tim Faulkner Gallery on the night Savannah was killed.
Downing said they were planning a trip to Las Vegas to celebrate her 21st birthday and did not want to pass over the day without paying tribute.
“She was so energetic," Downing said. "She was always happy. She was just like the best friend I’ve ever had."
Dean Walker said the biggest problem is the lack of people willing to come forward with answers.
“Let’s get these people off the street, because they’re harming more and more people every day,” Dean Walker said.
