LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police busts six people with multiple weapons in a Louisville Park. 

A post on Facebook shows at least eight guns that Louisville Metro Police say were confiscated Wednesday night at Russell Lee Park in the Park DuValle neighborhood.

The post says a group of people in the park ran away, when officers in the 9th Mobile Division and 2nd Division approached. As they ran, police say guns were being thrown to the ground. 

Among the guns recovered in the park were 6 handguns and 2 AK-47s. Two of the handguns and one of the AK-47s are now confirmed as stolen weapons. 

The six people arrested face charges including receiving stolen property-firearm, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, fleeing an evading, tampering with physical evidence and trafficking in a controlled substance 1st heroin.

The names of the suspects have not been released.
