Celebrate 4th of July at several local festivals
Cities all around Louisville are celebrating the 4th of July this week.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - There are several local 4th of July celebrations.
Crescent Hill is hosting its 4th of July Festival for the 31st year in a row. The celebration starts July 3 at 4:00 p.m. at the Peterson-Dumesnil House. You'll find artist booths, free inflatables for kids, food and games. The July 3 festivities end at 10 p.m. The festival runs from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. on July 4, 2017. Fireworks are at 10 p.m. on July 4.
New Albany will celebrate the 4th on July 3, 2017. The annual Riverfront Independence Celebration at the city's amphitheater runs from 6 p.m. - 11 p.m. It includes food, activities for kids, and music before the fireworks, which start once it gets dark. The city is also honoring veterans and active duty military by offering free admission to its River Run water park all day on July 4.
Louisville's 4th of July celebration is July 4 at Waterfront Park. It starts at 5:00 p.m. and includes music, a kids area, and plenty of food and drinks. Fireworks start at 10:00 p.m. At noon, the public is invited to help place 15,000 American flags at Waterfront Park. The flags will honor those who have served in the United States Armed Forces and other first responders.
