LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A home is likely a total loss after an early morning fire in Jeffersonville.

It happened in the Elk Pointe Neighborhood around 3 a.m. Monday.

Crews responded to the fire and reported heavy fire throughout the home.

In a post on their Facebook page, the Jeffersonville Fire Department said all residents inside the home at the time made it out safely and without injuries.

Spokesperson Justin Ames tells WDRB the fire began on the back deck area, though the official cause of the fire is still under investigation.

One firefighter was treated at the hospital for dizziness following the fire, but was later released.
