Indiana goes to court over online sales tax

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana is going to court over an online sales tax law.

A new state law allows Indiana to collect sales taxes from companies using only online transactions, but the law conflicts with a 25-year-old Supreme Court case.

Billions of dollars in tax revenue could be at stake.

Indiana already has agreements with nearly 2,000 companies -- including Amazon -- to collect some online sales tax.
