LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- A Haleyville, Alabama teen says a lightning strike corrected her vision and changed the color of her eyes.
Faith Mobley, 16, was struck by lightning on Wednesday while she was working at McDonald's.
She says she remembers washing dishes when the storm blew thru and she heard a loud boom. "When it hit, everything just tightened up. My muscles just spasmed mostly, and everything went numb," said Mobley. The lightning hit the building, traveled through the water to her body and drive-thru headset, before exiting through her foot and shoe, according to Mobley.
Since the lightening strike Mobley says she no longer needs to wear her glasses. She also said her eyes used to be dark green and now they are a lighter color.
"This is the first time I've ever seen or heard of this, but it's a great thing that it happened and we're very happy for her," said Dr. James Hwang.
Mobley says she's looking forward to going back to work and school.
