LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police and emergency crews responded after a truck crashed into the Brown Hotel on Broadway in downtown Louisville.

Officials say it happened around 10:30 a.m. Monday.

Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell says witnesses stated a person was driving a truck with a trailer attached, and was headed east on Broadway. Police say the driver ran a red light at 4th Street and Broadway and hit a passenger vehicle that was traveling north on 4th Street.

Authorities say the truck swerved and hit a window at the Brown Hotel.

Officials say the driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to Jewish Hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The driver of the truck was not hurt, according to police.

LMPD's First Division is handling the investigation.
