Child treated after nearly drowning in a Louisville swimming pool

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A child was transported to a hospital, after a reported drowning in a Louisville swimming pool.

According to LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell, at around noon Monday officers from the 6th Division responded to a call about a possible drowning in the 2400 block of Parkdale Avenue, near the interchange between I-64 and I-264.

Mitchell says when officers arrived, they located a 4-year-old child with water in the lungs. The child was resuscitated and remains the hospital. There have been no updates on the child's condition.
