LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Online shoppers are ready to cash in on Amazon Prime Day.
It's the third year for the highly successful event, which has proven bring in customers and cash for the retailer.
Prime Day is 30 hours of deals. It runs from 9 p.m. on July 10 through 3 a.m. July 12. Amazon says deals will be offered every five minutes.
The company anticipates a record number of shoppers. They suggest tracking deals ahead of time with the Amazon app, which will have deals posted 24 hours ahead of time. You can even set alerts for when the offers begin.
Shoppers who use Amazon's virtual assistant, Alexa, also get exclusive deals even earlier than other shoppers. Those customers get deals two hours before anyone else.
Voice shoppers also have access to "more than 100" exclusive pre-Prime Day offers. Those deals began July 5, Amazon says.
Televisions are expected to be a big item including the Amazon Fire TV edition of the ultra high-definition of Element 4K TV.
In addition to the United States, shoppers in 12 other countries can participate this year, including Britain, Mexico and China. Deals will differ in each country.
