Driver of pickup truck killed in Washington County crash
Indiana State Police say two others were injured.
SALEM, Ind. (WDRB) -- A man is dead after a fatal crash that flipped his pickup truck in southern Indiana.
Indiana State Police say the crash happened on State Road 56 near Heritage Chapel Road around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Washington County, Indiana.
Investigators say a pickup was hit by a car traveling the opposite direction. The truck flipped killing 76-year-old Sam Deaton. His wife was also in the pickup. 71-year-old Malvina Deaton suffered injuries police say are not life-threatening.
The driver of the car, 56-year-old Patricia Burdine also suffered injuries. She's expected to be okay.
Everyone in both vehicles were wearing seatbelts, and it's not known what caused Burdine to cross the center line.
