Louisville Creative Arts Academy gives budding young artists a creative outlet
Keith Kaiser finds some creative inspiration at the arts summer camp.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Creative Arts Academy presents RISE '17. It's a 10-day summer creative arts intensive for middle and high school students.
The purpose of RISE is to give student artists a creative boost in their discipline.
Campers will select an art discipline of their choice and attend daily workshops with some of the best instructors in the area.
Disciplines are dance, art, playwriting, drama, musical theater and acapella choir.
Students will also participate in group rehearsal and hear from special guests throughout camp.
Student performers will work with performance instructors and interns Monday through Friday, for two weeks.
Camp happens 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. July 17 - 28, with a Friday evening performance.
The 10-day summer camp is held at Reformed Baptist Church at 3400 Wilderness Trail. It costs $300.
