LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Meijer is bringing home delivery to part of Kentucky beginning July 27.
The company announced a partnership with home delivery app Shipt. The deal with allow groceries to be delivered from "store to door" to 500,000 potential customers in Louisville and Lexington. Meijer is aggressively expanding delivery service in six states.
In a release, the company says Meijer customers in Louisville will be able to shop more than 55,000 items using the Shipt app or online, and can request delivery in as little as one hour.
Shipt memberships cost $99 per year. Delivery 24-hours a day is free for orders over $35. A flat $7 delivery fee is added to any orders under $35. To celebrate the launch of Meijer home delivery in Louisville and Lexington, Shipt is offering $25 off the first order to annual members who sign up prior to launch.
