LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police say a Jasper man was arrested this week after a storage unit rented by an Indiana State Trooper was burglarized.

According to a news release from Indiana State Police, Master Trooper Brian LaRoche reported Wednesday that someone broke into his storage unit in Jasper and stole several items. Police say the burglar was able to enter the trooper's storage unit entering through the wall of an adjoining unit.

Police say several items were taken, including a weed trimmer and panels for a dog kennel.

After speaking with the lessee of the storage unit next door, an investigator was given the name of 29-year-old Joseph Frank -- the only other person with access to the unit.

After getting Frank's address, LaRoche showed up at the residence with another trooper. Police say the stolen weed trimmer was visible from the front porch.

Troopers made contact with Frank and arrested him. He's charged with one count of burglary.

All of the stolen items were recovered.
