LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Metro council members took their first official step to show displeasure with LMPD chief Steve Conrad.

A resolution calling for a vote of "no confidence" in the chief was read for the first time at Thursday night's meeting.

The resolution points out Louisville's homicide rate has tripled in three years. It also cites a lack of transparency, a lack of action in the Explorer program sex scandal, and low morale within the department.

A full council vote on the "no confidence" resolution is expected August 10.
