LINCOLN COUNTY, Oregon (WDRB) -- A truck carrying 7,500 pounds of slime eels overturned Thursday in Oregon.

The animals, known as "hagfish," were spilled all over the highway.

Oregon State Troopers say the truck driver had to make a sudden stop and the weight transfer caused the container to fly open.

The spill caused a four-car pile up and left several cars covered in eels and sticky, white slime.

No one was seriously hurt.

Hagfish are considered a delicacy in South Korea, and many Oregon fisheries ship the fish there alive.
