LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say two people were killed in a crash early Sunday in Lyndon.

Spokeswoman Alicia Smiley says the victims were a male and a female in their teens.  It is unclear which was driving the vehicle that crashed about 3:30 a.m. on Herr Lane near Westport Road and Westport Village.

Officers actually spotted the speeding car driving erratically, but they were quite a distance from the vehicle when the driver lost control, flipped the car on its side, hit a tree and caught on fire.

The car was so damaged police are not sure how many victims were inside.  Police were also unable to identify the make or model.
