New police chief named in Madison, Indiana
Jeremey Perkins has worked for the Madison Police Department for 14 years.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The town of Madison, Indiana will soon have a new police chief.
Current Assistant Police Chief Jeremey Perkins will be the city's new police chief, according to a post placed Monday on the City of Madison, Indiana Facebook page.
Perkins will take over from current Chief Dan Thurston, who will retire later this month.
Perkins has worked for the Madison Police Department for 14 years.
An announcement about a new assistant police chief is expected next week.
