LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Walmart is apologizing after a racial slur was used to describe an item on its website.
The company says a third-party seller used the "N" word to describe the color of a wig cap. Walmart issued a statement saying it is upset by the use of the word on its site.
Officials say the post has been removed and the company is now working to figure out how it happened. The cap was listed as being manufactured by a company in the UK.
However, that company says the product is a counterfeit version and was sold by an unauthorized seller.
