LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man killed early Tuesday morning in south Louisville was shot with a crossbow, LMPD said Wednesday.
Officers responded to a fight inside a residence on Woodruff Avenue near Taylor Boulevard around 4:45 a.m. Tuesday. They arrived to find two white men with wounds to their chest.
In the midst of the fight, a man in his 50s was shot with a pellet gun. Another man, identified by family as 28-year-old Gerald "Junior" Sulzer, was shot with a crossbow. Both men were shot by residents of a home in which the fight took place. Sulzer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sulzer's three sisters said their parents passed away earlier this year.
LMPD said the investigation is ongoing. The Homicide Unit and Commonwealth Attorney's Office are reviewing the case for possible charges.
Correction: A previous version of this story said that Sulzer was the one who shot the pellet gun. He was not.
