LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police are searching for a jail inmate they say walked away from a work detail in Breckinridge County, Kentucky.
Officers asked for the public’s help in finding 36-year-old Gregory McCrary of Leitchfield, Kentucky. Breckinridge County Jailer Tara Shrewsberry said McCrary disappeared from a work detail at Custer General Store in Custer about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The store is at Kentucky 86 and Kentucky 690 in southern Breckinridge County.
Shrewsberry said McCrary is serving time for receiving stolen property and a parole violation. The Kentucky Online Offender Lookup site, KOOL, indicated McCrary is serving a five-year sentence after a 2016 conviction in Breckinridge County.
McCrary is 6 feet tall, weighs 230 pounds and has tattoos and facial hair.
The Kentucky online offender site said “Honey boo boo” is one of McCrary’s aliases.
Shrewsberry asks anyone with information on McCrary’s whereabouts to call Kentucky State Police or the Breckinridge County Sheriff's Department.
