LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville woman accused of stealing over $11,000 worth of jewelry from Kohls was arrested Wednesday, according to Louisville Metro Police.
The alleged crime is outlined in an arrest warrant. Police say it happened between Oct. 1, 2016 and Dec. 19, 2016. At some point during that time period, police say 31-year-old Danielle Kiser walked into the Kohls department store at 11811 Standiford Plaza Drive, near the intersection of Preston Highway and Mt. Washington Road. Police say she then took over $11,000 worth of jewelry into the dressing room, removed the security tags and left the store without paying for the jewelry.
Store employees later found the discarded security tags on the floor of the dressing room, according to police.
Police say Kiser's actions were captured on surveillance video.
A warrant was issued for Kiser's arrest on Dec. 21, 2016, and she was taken into custody Wednesday morning. She is charged with theft by unlawful taking.
