Indiana BMV to refund drivers $62 million after class action lawsuit

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some Indiana drivers could soon be receiving another refund from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

A class action lawsuit was just settled, meaning the BMV will repay drivers more than $62 million.

Part of that money is already being paid back for transactions from 2006 to 2014.

But a new round of refunds is for those overcharged for driver licenses, registrations and other services between 2002 and mid-2006.

Drivers who were overcharged can expect to get somewhere between $1 to $50.
