LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - Healthy teeth and gums help students get ready to hit the books.
Dr. Alfonso Pozas, University of Louisville Pediatric Dentist, covers proper nutrition, what to expect in a routine cleaning and fluoride application, and the pros & cons of sealants.
Kentucky state law requires students going into kindergarten to have a dental exam.
The School of Dentistry has a back-to-school special for kids through the end of October. Kids can get free oral health screenings and orthodontic consultations. They can also receive a $250 credit toward the cost of braces if treatment begins within 6 weeks of the initial visit.
