Louisville native and R&B star Bryson Tiller nominated for two 2017 MTV Video Music Awards
Tiller is nominated in the categories of Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for the video "Wild Thoughts."
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville native and R&B star Bryson Tiller scores yet another musical milestone.
On Tuesday, it was announced that Tiller received two nominations at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. Tiller is nominated in the categories of Video of the Year and Best Collaboration for the video "Wild Thoughts." Tiller is a featured artist and shares the nominations with stars DJ Khaled and Rihanna.
The "Wild Thoughts" video is also nominated in the category of Best Art Direction.
Tiller is not a stranger to mainstream award recognition.
Last year, Tiller was nominated for three MTV Video Music Awards.
Last month, Tiller scored his first number one album on the Billboard 200 Albums chart for his sophomore album, "True to Self," the follow-up to his platinum-selling debut "TRAPSOUL."
Other nominees at this year's MTV Video Music Awards include Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande and The Weeknd.
This year's MTV Video Music Awards will take place on Aug. 27 at 8 p.m. at The Forum in Inglewood, California.
