Gallopalooza horse statue stolen from New Albany realty office

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WDRB) -- A horse statue worth thousands of dollars was stolen from outside of a New Albany realty office.

In the early 2000s, Pat Harrison said she paid close to $2,500 for the Gallopalooza horse named "His Eminence." Repairing the wear and tear since has cost her even more.

Last week, the horse blew over, and she put it behind her Charlestown Road Remax office in the hopes of keeping it safe.

It didn't work. She said thieves snatched the horse.

"I just hope whoever's got him hasn't hurt him, hasn't repainted him," Harrison said. "Somebody brought that up the other day, and it made me cringe. Maybe they'll think it over and bring him back.

"They don't need him. I need him. And I'd love to have my horse back."

The money Harrison paid for the horse went to Brightside charity in Louisville.
