LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Indiana couple has traveled around the U.S. to meet a lofty, yet unusual goal.

Ray and Wilma Yoder, both 80, of Goshen, Indiana, have visited nearly every Cracker Barrel restaurant in the U.S., according to the Lebanon Democrat.

There are currently 645 Cracker Barrel locations in the U.S., and the Yoders have visited 644 of them.

On July 7, the pair went to the grand opening of a location in Lavonia, Georgia.

The only location left to visit is a Cracker Barrel in Tualatin, Oregon, near Portland.

The couple's journey to visit every single Cracker Barrel began almost 40 years ago when Ray Yoder was working delivering RVs across the U.S.

“It took the boredom out of being on the road," he said. "It has a down-home spirit, and everybody is friendly. It’s like being at home."

Wilma joined Ray on his trips, and the couple began making visits to various Cracker Barrel locations, which are usually located near an interstate.

The Yoders are very dedicated to achieving their goal, admitting they once went to eight different Cracker Barrel locations in a single day.

In recognition of the couple's achievement, on Wednesday the restaurant posted the following message on its official Twitter account:

"We sure have loved getting to know y’all over the years. Can't wait to see where you go next!#AdventuresofWilmaAndRay."

The first Cracker Barrel store opened in 1969 near what is now State Route 109 in Lebanon, Tennessee.
