Coroner identifies man killed in Parkland neighborhood shooting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The coroner has released the name of a man who died after a shooting Sunday morning in the Parkland neighborhood.

The victim is 31-year-old Brandon Madry, according to Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Scott Russ. Officials say Madry died at University Hospital just after 8 a.m. from multiple gunshot wounds.

Louisville Metro Police's Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting, which happened in the 1000 block of South 28th Street, near West Kentucky Street. That's near Brandeis Elementary School.

LMPD spokesperson Alicia Smiley says Madry was found shot outside a home.

Police have not given any information about a suspect.
