LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A family is still searching for answers one year after a man was found dead at a downtown Louisville hotel.

It's been a long year for the family and friends of 28-year-old Stepfon Harris -- a year without justice.

Harris was killed in the early morning hours of July 30, 2016. He was found shot to death in the parking lot of the Hampton Inn, located on East Jefferson Street.

"We want to the perpetrators caught because he was a real life person," Harris' aunt Betty Ramos said. "He was human, a human with a heart. That's what we want for him. We want justice."

One year after his death, his family is still looking for answers about his killer. No arrests have been made in his case and the family is urging the public to come forward with any information.

"We just want someone to come forward or whoever done it. If you've got a conscience, turn yourself in," Ramos added.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Louisville Metro Police tip line at 574-LMPD.

Callers can remain anonymous.
