Harlan County man arrested after allegedly allowing several puppies to starve to death
Authorities say Gary Brock was arrested after investigators looked inside a small rabbit cage at his home.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Harlan County, Kentucky, man has been arrested after authorities say he allowed several puppies to starve to death.
According to an arrest report, the Harlan County Sheriff's Office received a phone call on Saturday, July 29, claiming that someone was allowing a beagle and its pups to starve to death.
As a result of that call, sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the Wallins Creek home of 54-year-old Gary Brock. When they arrived, they allegedly found several dogs in a rabbit cage with no food or water.
According to the arrest report, there were seven puppies in the cage and six of those seven were dead.
Brock was arrested and charged with second degree cruelty to animals. He is currently being held in the Harlan County Detention Center.
