LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Southern High School Principal Bryce Hibbard will soon take over as middle school principal at the Christian Academy of Louisville English Station campus.

Christian Academy of Louisville confirmed the move to WDRB.

JCPS officials say Hibbard's last day at Southern High School is Monday. Christian Academy of Louisville says Hibbard will begin work Tuesday as principal of CAL's middle school.

Two assistant principals have been in charge at the CAL middle school until now, with CAL high school principal Larry Wooldridge overseeing operations.

Officials say Chad Foster will remain an assistant principal at the middle school.

An enrollment increase and the addition of new programs led to Hibbard's hiring, according to officials.

JCPS officials say the district is currently searching for a principal, and that Southern High School will have a new principal before the first day of school on August 16.
