POLICE: Tennessee bride points gun at new husband's head

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new bride pulls a gun from her wedding dress, and puts it to her groom's head.

Witnesses says 25-year-old Kate Prichard and her new husband started arguing shortly after their wedding at the Clarion Inn in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

That's when Prichard allegedly pulled a pistol out of her dress, pointed it at her husband's head and pulled the trigger, but there was no bullet inside.

But then she's accused of loading a bullet and firing a shot into the air, which sent guests running.

When police arrived, the newlyweds said nothing was wrong, but police eventually found a shell casing and what they believe was Prichard's weapon.

"Both were very uncooperative with authorities. It was a witness that actually pointed us in the right direction. Responding officers let the husband know the honeymoon would be over and his new wife was going to jail," said Murfreesboro Police Sgt. Kyle Evans.

Prichard is charged with aggravated domestic assault.
