LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A University of Louisville football player has been dismissed from the team after he and an alleged accomplice were arrested last week, accused of stealing from three men.

According to an arrest report, 21-year-old Christopher Williams and 21-year-old Laderius Malik Slaughter are accused of tricking three victims into disclosing their bank account information.

U of L Police say both Williams and Slaughter then stole $2,300 from the victims' accounts.

Both men were arrested at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 23. They are both charged with three counts of theft by deception.

Williams was a defensive lineman for U of L. On Monday, U of L football coach Bobby Petrino confirmed that he had been dismissed from the team.

The names of the three victims listed on the report match the names of other U of L football players.
