Clarksville Police looking for man suspected of vehicle break-ins

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Clarksville need your help identifying a suspect breaking into cars.

Video provided by police shows a suspect searching through a car at a home on Accrusia Avenue early Monday morning. Investigators say a man shown in the video broke into the car and took a phone charger and some change.

Police believe he could be connected to other car break-ins in the area.

Clarksville Police say they are seeing an increase in these crimes this summer.

"The only advice I would have for people is don't leave anything inside your car of value," said Det. Todd McCutcheon of Clarksville Police. "You know, computers, don't leave any purses -- anything -- in sight. The best thing to do is take anything of value outside of the car."

If you recognize the suspect in the video, you're urged to call the Clarksville Police Department at (812) 288-7151.
