LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man accused of fatally shooting an Indiana police officer after a car crash has not yet made his first court appearance because he's still recovering in the hospital.
Jason Brown, 28, is charged with murder in the July killing of Southport police lieutenant Aaron Allan. Court documents say Brown was dangling upside down in his car after it overturned in a crash.
Police say Allan was approaching Brown's vehicle to help when Brown allegedly shot him.
That's when Brown was shot by other officers.
Authorities haven't disclosed a possible motive.
