LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- One person was killed and a toddler was injured in a single-vehicle crash on Arnoldtown Road late Friday morning.

LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell says a man driving a black Lincoln lost control and hit a tree near the intersection of Arnoldtown Road and Timber Hills Road around 11:15 a.m.

Mitchell says an 18-month-old boy restrained in a child seat in the back seat of the vehicle survived with minor injuries. The boy was taken to Norton Children's Hospital to be checked out.

Police say the victim, a man who appears to be in his 40s, died at the scene. His name has not yet been released.

Arnoldtown Road is closed at Windsor Forest Drive while police work to clear the scene.
