LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A sixth grader in Indiana who was being bullied at school got a little back-up on his way to the first day of classes this year.

A band of 50 bikers personally escorted him to school.

Phil Mick's mom says he had been thinking about suicide after being bullied at a different school. When a local mechanic heard about it, he decided enough was enough. So he persuaded 50 of his buddies to escort Phil to his first day at a new school -- to put any prospective bullies on notice.

Phil rode along on the back of one of the motorcycles, and says he's excited for the fresh start.
