Metro Health Department hosting free heroin prevention class Saturday

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- What if you could have reached a drug addict before they ever felt their first high?

That's the goal of a free heroin prevention class happening Saturday at the Southwest Louisville Library Branch on Dixie Highway at 2 p.m.

The Metro Health Department will host the 90-minute class designed for parents and adults.

It will teach drug use warning signs, how to talk to teens about the issue and the steps you should take if you know someone at risk.
